Restaurant Rasa Utara - Times Square

Restaurant Rasa Utara located at Ground Floor, Berjaya Times Square. 

Been here once for it Ramadhan Buffet and its quite some time back.. About it ala-carte, heard a lots about it but never taste it yet.. Heard the food is "so so" and expensive... Finally I got to experience it myself.. Thanks to the person who donate a RM50.00 voucher to me.. hahaha !!!

Its quite a small outlet and that day of my visit quite empty... Once I settled down at one of the table and I'm facing the open kitchen + inside times square.... I look around and found there few pictures of Tun Dr. M.. Is this restaurant related to him? Well doesnt interested at all and start browsing the menu...

Wow !! Really not cheap.. The dishes from RM10.00 to RM50.00 [vegetable to meat to seafood]... God bless the taste have to be good !! This is what I'm thinking when browsing it...

Nasi Briyani Rasa Utara - RM4.80

 

Kai Lan - RM10.80

The Kai Lan is very big and complete as a whole.. If cook fresh then will be super delicious.. Too bad !! Spoilt !!!

Seafood Tom Yam - RM15.80

 The Seafood Tom Yam quite small pot - the taste quite similar to what I had at mamak stall.. But of course the seafood is not as much as this at mamak stall... Frankly speaking, it is not fresh at all..

Sambal Ayam - RM15.80

  The Chicken very dry and hard.. Not really good to bite.. Probably not immediate cook with fresh chicken... But the sambal quite good...

Overall the food is so so, the price is expensive and the staff not really that friendly...

Will I come back?

Kopicad Studio Kopitiam - Kuchai Lama

Most of the shop like restaurant, cafe, boutique mostly located at ground floor.. Because get more attention from passbyer.. But due to the high rental, many small enterprenuer will choose 2nd floor as their business place.. This trend is increasingly over these few years.. Especially around Kuchai Lama, Sri Petaling and Bangsar...

This little cafe is newly open at Kuchai Lama namely Kopicad Studio Kopitiam located at 2nd floor... The renovation style mainly base on kitchen style... All white.. feeling so fresh !!

Kindori Ice-Cream Pavillion

Kindori Ice-Cream. Heard the name already know its Japanese Ice-Cream.. So whatelse if not the Matcha and Sesame flavour? Currently got Buy One Free One promotion but only limit to two flavours.. Yummy.. My favourite..

Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie

Heard so much of this place, finally got chance to pay visit during Merdeka holiday...

Its standalone building and the concept quite English Style... Perfect to spend a leisure time.... The restaurant environment so relaxing but just a bit crowded only... Full of bakery... When walk in, I just wow.. So much of bread..

I'm not fancy of bread & cake... But my sister so excited seeing all this (as the above).. After we ordered, my sister busy walking around to search her favourite and something new to try out...

Omelette - RM12.50

Due to the price quite expensive, my sister search high and low and able to get 3 breads.. hahaha.. Yeah.. we abit cheapscake lo....

Carrot Walnut - RM3.60

Frankly speaking, the bun so delicious.. Its so moist and the filling so yummy.... Yeah.. even though the price a bit high, but worthy to pay for it...

 

Lol... see my @_@... Merdeka is the best !!

Due to the crowd and its partially self service, there is a board stated clearly the ordering instruction... If you are first timer, take some time read through it... hehehe... Partially Self Service means customer have to order at counter and the waiter/waitress will deliver the food to the table accordingly...

I'm not sure other day.. That day morning the service quite slow no matter at counter or the serve food.. Plus the waitress dont really understand English make it harder for the customer to request something...

Beside, its quite hard to find the parking... There is a valet especially for Levain customer, just only RM2.00... Cheap right?

Anyway, will pay a visit again and try other in the menu...

Sister Mee Goreng

Its my own sister creation but get reference from Tuaran Mee and Tampurali Mee...

The different is the type of mee and taste..
My sister use cintan mee and local soy sauce.. So the overall taste will be different from the KK mee... Delicious... with the combination of Char Siew and Siew Yuk... perfect...
