Eco Tree Hotel Melaka

Year end !! While everyone going oversea holiday, I only able to spent 2 days 1 night at Melaka on 19th / 20th Dec 2015.

Melaka is my favourite place because I very familiar with the surrounding and I have no problem driving around..

Actually, there are so many places to explore at Melaka. May be my 1st local trip in year 2016 will be Melaka too. Stay tune.

OK OK OK !! Back to the hotel I stayed this time at Melaka. Normally, I will stay nearby Jonker Street because easily walk around. But this time, I dont want to stay some much time at Jonker Street, therefore I dont really need to stay at this crowded place.

I came across with Eco Tree Hotel through ensogo.com when I'm browsing some deals.. I bought this deals at about RM180.00. The deal package include 1 night hotel stay in Executive Deluxe Twin + Breakfast for 2 pax and entrance to Magic Art 3D Museum. Originally the room price is RM198.00. Since it is newly built hotel (around less than a year), I think should be OK with the price. Importantly, parking is not an issue as there is free parking available. 

Overall, the hotel is quite impressive by it outlook and cleanliness. I'm quite satisfy with the stay. Hope the hotel can maintain well with it standard. Actually, nearby the Hotel, there are plenty of restaurant and you dont really need to go far to eat. Some famous nyonya restaurant is just few minutes walk from the Hotel. And is walk distance (15 minutes) to Hatten Square and cross the road is Mahkota Parada / Dataran Pahlawan. So it location pretty convenient.

There are plenty of place for you to sit at the lobby while you waiting to check-in / out. Its pretty relax and comfortable.

Since it is near Christmas, the Christmas's decoration really beautiful. There are few Christmas Tree around the hotel. And you can vote your most favorite too.

The hotel's decoration quite precise and almost every corner there is something. So you wont see the surrounding too empty.

Once you open the room door, WOW !! The decoration quite pretty and its look like 5 star hotel. Just the room a bit smaller. The overall colour combination quite good make me feel relax and comfortable. 

Two Super Single Bed

The bed very comfortable pairing with the comforter at this cooling room, I had a very good sleep with any disturbance. Bed is very important and I quite concern on it. Since it is new hotel, the bed still good in shape. But how long it will stand? 

TV with few chancels

Another added point for hotel stay is the TV type and channels provided. I'm TV lover. I will switch on the TV and search some nice program to watch. 

Coffee and Tea

Complimentary mineral water, tea bag, 3 in 1 coffee. There also a mini bar where you can put anything inside. Please ignore the car key, it is MINE !!

Toilet

There isnt much toiletries provided such as toothbrush, body shampoo / hair shampoo. 

Bathroom

Cupboard and safe box

The bathroom and toilet and cupboard, all in one room.. So you can change your clothes easily. Pretty good design. similar design with those 5 star hotel with spacious room.

My room at 3rd floor and it facing WEST. So can view sunset from the room. Really nice but I didnt able to see it as I watch the sunset at Pantai Klebang which is awesome.

The breakfast is buffet spread and quite OK on the choices. The staff clean the table quite frequent and refill the food also very fast.

Short Gateway at Avillion Admiral Cove Port Dickson

Its a delay POST.

I went to Port Dickson in end of May for 2 days 1 night with my friend.. Its just a short trip and mainly for relaxing.. So, mostly will be sleep sleep and sleep... LOL !!! 

We bought an voucher and this hotel stay cost us around RM170 to RM210. I cant remember the actual price. Its a deluxe room with breakfast. I think a pretty good deal for a short trip especially relaxing. My friend told me this hotel rating is 4 star. How to rate a hotel? Anyone can tell me?

We arrived quite early around 1pm and we try our luck whether can check-in or not. YES, they can check-in for us but the room need to wait due to cleaning in progress. Its OK, after check-in, we walk-in around the hotel for snapping photo..

Overall, the whole environment very nice and beautiful. But there isnt any beach.. This is one of the disadvantage. Swimming pool is good as there is alots of tree, so its good to dip in anytime even though at about 2pm. I didnt get chance to swim at the pool due to overcrowded with children.

YES, there is yatch parking here.. There is full of yatch at another side of the hotel. Hotel Guest is not allow to enter.

I enjoy the sunset overhere.. There is places for you to sit and facing the sunset.. Since it is limited, please go early to book your seat.

 Its quite a small lobby and the check-in counter also small. Its there is large group like 2 buses of guests, then also enough to pack the whole lobby. 

Two single bed

The room quite spacious and very relaxing when entering the room. Its might due to the colour or the design. I like it. If it is carpet the better. Green colour looks natural feel. There is two single beds and one day bed. Actually the daybed is equivalent to single bed and comfy too.

 Our room no balcony and not seaview. Its facing opposite block so we close the curtain most of the time.

Cupboard

This is my first time I see sinky in the room and not inside toilet/bathroom. Its convenient too when filling water. Its seems more hygiene (feeling only) then water from toilet. One thumb up for this point. 

TV

Its pretty empty feel, may be the room too big and the TV doesnt that big enough. They should put 42 inch and above.

Toiletries - include toothbrush

I never stay at hotel that provide toothbrush and toothpaste. My friend told me 4/5 star hotel always does provide. Oh !! LOL I never stay this high-class. But without bath tub still consider 4 star rating hotel?

Overall, I still will consider re-visit this Hotel provided the room rate is not exceed RM200.00. Its quite convenient to drive around Port Dickson from here.

Swimming Pool @ Best Wester Dua Sentral

Staying at hotel isnt perfect without dipping your body into swimming pool.. For my own liking, hotel without swimming pool really imperfect.. Of course, have to look at the price as budget hotel unable to offer this facility..

Best Western Dua Sentral KL do have great view at the swimming pool.. I really can lazying here for whole day... Sipping a glass of beer, reading favorite novel which facing a great view.. Awesome !!

If got chance, I dont mind stay here again for short break.. Even though the location not that strategic.. But who cares to go out since for short escape?

Gymnasium.Room @ Best Western Dua Sentral KL

Stayed at Best Western Dua Sentral, if you didnt plan to go out.. there are few activities you can do such as swimming, exercise or spa.. I did tried out the gym.. Even though small room but fully equip.. I spend about 1 hour and full satisfied.. Whole room seems booked by my sister and I... Nice view too when jogging at treadmill..Its facing west, so when sunset a little HOT..

Short Vacation @ Best Western

How many of you think of short vacation by just staying at local hotel (especially 4 star and above)? Yes, I do. You might think I'm crazy as why stay at 5 star local hotel and paying so much?Well, actually short vacation at local hotel not that bad idea and this type of vacation really suit me.

Due to taking care elderly, so I dont really have time to go long vacation or far away place. So staying at local 4 / 5 star hotel for relax / release tension really help me a lots... That's why must good hotel with nice environment, great swimming pool and complimentary breakfast.

I got complimentary stay (with breakfast) at Best Western Dua Sentral KL and check-in last Saturday (05/07/2014) with my sister for one night stay. This is second time we stayed here as the first we bought groupon mystery hotel deal for about RM170++ and got chance to stay at 1 bedroom-suite. This time we stayed at Deluxe Room only...

Main Lobby

There are 6 check-in / check-out counter so its able to handle the crowd. But some of the staff doesnt really can speak English that well..There are plenty sofa for you to sit if you like to hang around lobby..

Personally I like this lobby side corner.. White sofa chair with glass and some plant.. Perfect sitting place to lazying with welcome drink (juice / coffee / tea)..

The welcome drink start available roughly about 1.00pm consist of fruit juice, coffee, tea and some cookies..
Its great feeling to have welcome drink when check-in.. After travel or rush to hotel at afternoon, a welcome drink definitely will add extra impression..

Two Queen size bed

My room located at 23rd floor - smoking floor. No No No.. I'm not smoking people.. The staff told me do I mind taking smoking floor whereby currently no room available for non-smoking.. I dont mind if the room is no smoke smell..

Two queen size bed, 4 pillows each... Wow.. its nice mattress... I really had a nice sleep that nice... Yeah !! compare to my own home, this is such a luxury... 

TV

 There is 4 complimentary bottled mineral water.. Or you may boil for yourself...

Mini Bar

The minibar is not empty and the F&B iwill be charge after consume.. RM5.00 for the carlsberg not that expensive.. If really need, might consider...

Cupboard

 Iron board is provided, nice quality in-house slipper and variety of hanger.. Really suit for business people... and that cloth (not sure the name), I wore it when I went to swimming pool.. I feel weird when I'm in the lift with the suit.. LOL

Bathroom

 Bathroom and toilet is separate.. I like this type but not many hotel with this layout.. Two sinks... good..

Compliment Toiletries

 Toothbrush is provided.. So happen I forget to bring mine.. I think only 5 star hotel is provide this.. Last time I stayed at Berjaya Langkawi, didnt have toothbrush..

You may get RM8.00 flat rate if you park you car at hotel parking.. This is per entry.. You may request seasonal parking card if you wish to have multiple entry for one rate RM8.00. Do check with the receptionist. Beside, they do offer free shuttle to/from Mid Valley/KL SEntral..

The hotel location is not strategic if you dont have transportation. Not advisable you walk to KL Sentral or Masjid Jamek as the roadside consider quite dangerous..

Overall, I do have a nice and comfortable stay.. The infinity swimming pool and gym room is good enough for me to spend my time...Nice view at swimming pool which I will blog it later... If they can make the swimming pool warmer then will be better.. The water at swimming too cold.. There is wide selection of breakfast and really enjoyed.
